Winder

A winder is a device that winds up a produced sheet to transport it to the next process or to facilitate handling and storage.
The winder is required to precisely control the tension across the entire width of the sheet to prevent wrinkles and sagging of the sheet during winding. The specifications of the winder, such as hard or soft winding, also vary from customer to customer. Based on our extensive experience, we offer winders that meet every need.

Winder:

Sheets width: 4.2 m to 7 m
Winding Speed: Max.120m/min
Tension range: 20 N to 150 N
※We will propose a winder that meets your desired specifications.

Features/Take-up method

・Center-driven winding
The center-driven take-up is the simplest method and is used for temporary take-up in film deposition lines. While it has advantages such as easy design and low manufacturing cost, it also has disadvantages such as easy air entrapment and soft winding, resulting in loss of shape and tightening of the winding.

・Central drive nip roll type
A non-driven roll (nip roll) is mounted and the pressing load (nip load) and tension are applied to the web to wind it. Because tension is controlled by the nip roll rather than torque, even soft and thin separator films can be wound without damaging them. It also has many advantages such as keeping the roll shape circular and reducing wrinkles.

・Center-driven near roll type
The center-driven near-roll type is equipped with a near-roll that maintains a constant gap with the take-up rolls. This system controls the amount of air that is drawn into the web, reducing wrinkles caused by web transport and improving misalignment.

Turret

A turret is a component of a take-up machine that swaps the position of a fully wound product roll and a new rewind core. KGK offers a wide range of turret-equipped winders.
